We offer full services of General Contracting of Real estate development, or property development, that encompassing activities that range from the renovation and re-lease of existing buildings to the purchase of raw land and the sale of developed land or parcels to others. We can coordinate all of these activities, converting ideas from paper to real property.

As a company, VPG Construction specializes in general contracting services but in its roots it was founded in real estate development. The principal owners of the company have completed over $15,000,000 in real estate development investments within the last five years with over $15,000,000 in the pipeline for 2016. Executive Leadership

Vincent Weaver

CEO, President

Vincent Weaver is the contributing shareholder of VPG Construction Company and was named President and CEO in 2015. Under his leadership the commercial construction firm will be looking to established itself as one of the leading companies of its kind in the Greater New Orleans region. VPG Construction is projected to grow its construction capacity by 15-25% per year and doubled their sales in 2017. Weaver’s success and attention is focused on building a strong executive team, developing a solid strategic partnership and paying close attention to the customer  overall experience with community knowledge.


Weaver develops and maintains effective relationships with all project stakeholders including owners, architects, subcontractors and city-wide leaders. He has a knowledge and experience in various construction  sectors including city-wide healthcare, aviation, federal, institutional, retail, residential,  sole source commerical and higher education.


Vincent Weaver demostrates knowledge of  project timeline, project management, owner awareness and cost control. He is an developing expert in higher educational, residential and commerical construction and facilities operations and leading major construction organizations with a thorough knowledge of estimating, purchasing, accounting, cost engineering, self-performance trade work and field supervision.


Weaver is an exceptional leader and project manager in all, but not including  the public, institutional and private sector. He has been personally responsible for delivery of projects ranging from $500,000 to 75 million. Weaver is also VPG Executive lead for teaming projects with past experience leading projects totaling upwards of $89,000,000.


Vincent Weaver has more than 7 years of Facilities management, , including Architectural and Project Management scheduling and design. He has served as a Facilities Leader of a variety of Higher Educational diverse institutions including Historical Black Colleges and Universities. Weaver believes in empowering individuals to perform at their best. He has a personal passion for supporting the growth and development of women and minorities in business.


He is an active community leader and most recently served as an ambassador for mentoring minority students in engineering in the District of Columbia. He is an active member of the ASHE (American Society of Healthcare Engineers) Certification. Has recently been nominated for the Georgia Trust Award as the Project Manager for a Historic Preservation renovation in Fort Valley, Georgia.


Vincent Weaver attended Tuskegee University with a degree in Architecture. He has a master’s in Architecture from Hampton University and completed a study abroad in Urban Design in Panama City, Panama.

We form long-term business relationships with MBE/WBE/DBE businesses. We help them strengthen their business experience and capabilities. VPG Construction has successfully developed and implemented Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) plans that exceeded targeted levels of participation by minority and woman-owned firms. Key elements of our approach include:

  • Outreach to capable MBE/WBE/DBE’s through telephone campaigns and advertising construction projects.

  • Training and assisting firms to complete our subcontractor/supplier prequalification process.

  • Tracking and assisting targeted HUB firms through the bidding process to maximize their likelihood of success.

Requirements 

VPG Construction requires that before we can contract with you, we must have a W-9 form and a certificate of insurance on file that names us as “additional insured” and has at least the following limits:

  • General Liability: $1,000,000

  • Automotive Liability: $1,000,000

  • Workers Compensation: $1,000,000/$1,000,000

  • Umbrella: $5,000,000

Once you are an approved Subcontractor for VPG Construction, the following items must be on file and current before we can process your application for payment:

  1. Signed Subcontract Agreement.

  2. A notarized Lien Waiver if the amount is $500.00 or more.

  3. A notarized 2nd or 3rd Tier Lien Waiver to suppliers for any amount.

  4. All invoices must be submitted on “Subcontractor’s Application for Payment” form, notarized and received in our office by the 25th of the month. If the 25th falls on a holiday or a weekend, applications for payment must be received before the holiday or weekend. Applications received after the 25th of the month will not be processed for payment until the 25th of the following month. Faxed copies will not be accepted.
